ASSEMBLY GOP, GRASSROOTS EFFORTS WINNING BATTLE ON COMMON CORE

“After years of intense pressure from teachers, parents, students and Assembly Republicans, Gov. Cuomo and state bureaucrats are beginning to fold on the Common Core Standards. Grassroots momentum has been building since the standards were irresponsibly and hastily rolled out by Gov. Cuomo and his state education cronies. The overly burdensome testing requirements are not letting teachers do what they do best, teach. Students have been overly stressed and tens of thousands of parents opted their children out of testing last year – further signaling the absurdity of Common Core’s implementation.

HEROIN EPIDEMIC, THOUSANDS OUT OF WORK, LEGISLATIVE CORRUPTION...YET AG TARGETS FANTASY SPORTS

“I’m glad to see that Attorney General Schneiderman has his priorities straight. After regulations increased for nail salons under Gov. Cuomo’s direction, a political non-sequitur, I’m starting to think the AG is taking pointers from the governor. Thousands of New Yorkers are out of work, several members of the legislature have been indicted on corruption charges, heroin overdoses are killing our children, but the AG has chosen to focus on banning fantasy sports gambling. This is absolutely ridiculous.
