Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin (R,C,I-Schaghticoke) was recently awarded a high score in an evaluation of all New York State Legislators by Unshackle Upstate. McLaughlin, New York’s top-ranked pro-jobs legislator, according to the New-York Business Council, emphasized the continued need for economic growth and job creation in upstate New York.
“Families are still struggling out there and I will continue to fight for quality jobs and a more business-friendly environment in the Capital Region,” McLaughlin said. “As a former businessman and private-sector employee, I know first-hand how to improve New York’s private sector, and it starts with cutting taxes and eliminating red tape. The relocation of Bausch & Lomb and Remington Arms out of New York are perfect examples of how the Democratic leadership in the Assembly and the Governor’s Office continue to smother high-profile businesses.”
